The journalistic team of Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward is credited with reporting the most explosive political story of the 1970s, which began as a seemingly low-level break-in at the Watergate Complex in Washington, D.C. in June, 1972, and which was to result in the resignation of President Richard "I am not a crook" Nixon.
